25th August 2008 Windsurfing: Aberdyfi Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 15-25 knts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 15C Sea Temperature: Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thought about going out on the seafront offa the golf course today but the wind looked a bit marginal so headed ober to dyfi. When we got there it looked a bit light so slowly rigged up a 6.4m just incase it filled in which, it did. A bit up and down for the first hour then gradually filled in until I was well stacked. Thought about changing onto my wave board and smaller sail but couldn't be bothered so just hung on. Sailed for about 4 hours solid, loads of gybe practise and I'm starting to get there, still need to improve the timing and fluidity of the foot change and rig flip and get some speed out of the exit, but getting a lot better. I think in the last month and a half I've done more gybes than in the last two years! |
